FIS Alpine Race Team
Competition birth years: 1995 or earlier
This program is either for skiers interested in pursuing race training, first year FIS athletes or for the experienced competitor, 15 years of age and above. Athletes will strive towards perfecting developing solid race techniques and race tactics. Training will be closely linked to FIS fulltime athlete program. Athletes may already be competing in Interschool’s competitions, SSA or FIS competitions. Training is all day and weekend orientated, with the Victorian school holidays included in the program. It is proposed that skiers will participate in SSA and some FIS races in VIC & NSW. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.

Jnr/ Snr/ VCE Alpine Team
Competition birth years: 1995 or earlier
This program is either for skiers interested in continuing race training, first year FIS athletes or for the experienced competitor, 15 years of age and above. Athletes will strive towards perfecting their skills in freeskiing, moguls, terrain parks and while maintaining solid race technique. Athletes may have already been competing in Interschool’s competitions, SSA or FIS competitions. Training is all day and weekend orientated, with the Victorian school holidays included in the program. It is proposed that skiers will participate in some competitions. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.

Child 1 & Child 2 Alpine Race Team
Competition birth years: 1996/97 & 1998/99
For the committed junior skier who wishes to further develop their alpine racing experience and intends to compete in the Children’s Race Series. Training is all day and weekend orientated, with the Victorian school holidays included in the program. The focus is on freeskiing in challenging terrain, moguls, terrain parks and developing solid race techniques while achieving goals in a fun environment. It is proposed that skiers will participate in the Victorian Children’s Championships and the Australian Children’s Championships. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.

Child 0 Alpine Race Team
Age Group: Birth years 2000, 01, 02
This program is the foundation for the Children’s Race Team and is specially designed for younger age groups. Training is all day and weekend orientated, with the Victorian school holidays included in the program. With an emphasis on skill development and freeskiing in all snow conditions and varied terrain, athletes will also work on moguls, terrain park introduction, race technique and competition in a fun and supervised environment. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.

Development Squad
Ages 7 to 10 years (younger athletes may be accepted at Program Directors discretion)
The Children Development Team is the next step up from the Snowsports School’s Kangaroo group. The daily schedule is based on 4 hours per day except on race days when the program is all day. The focus is on improving basic skills, such as correct stance and turn shape, to develop strong parallel skiing, moguls, terrain park introduction, gate training and entry level races in a fun and safe environment. For children aged 6 years of age, please contact our office 03 5758 1000. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.

Team Snowboard
Ages 10 years and above
Designed for athletes wanting to develop snowboarding fundamentals and prepare for local competitions e.g. Interschool’s. It will provide a good stepping stone to work towards the competitive arena nationally. Training will include GS, Terrain Park and all-mountain riding to develop a solid skill base.

Multisports (MSports)
Ages 10 years and above
For the committed child aged skier who wishes to further develop their alpine racing experience but also focus on freeskiing in challenging terrain, moguls, terrain parks. Training is all day and weekend orientated, with the Victorian school holidays included in the program. It is proposed that skiers will participate in home based races such as the Rossignol Cup, Interschool GP series events and the Victorian Children’s Championships. Helmet use is mandatory for all participants.
