Social Activities & Events

A range of social events happen throughout the season - the highlights being the parents and coaches dinner at the start of the season, the annual club auction and the race around the mountain and season end BBQ on the last weekend of the race club calendar.

Master's Alpine Program

Catering for adults ranging from 20 to 70 years old, squad parents and ex-racers who still enjoy running gates, this program aims to improve participants skills while having fun. The program consists of free-skiing, technical training, race training and equipment handling components.

3 or more participants are needed for 2 hours of race training. Club membership and club uniforms are not required for this program. Contact the Falls Creek Snowsports School for more details on 03 5758 1070 or purchase tickets prior to each session in the Snowsports office at the Cloud 9 complex (top of Falls Express Chairlift).

Ladies' Club

Where ladies can get together to learn, improve their skiing and enjoy the social atmosphere. All levels of skiing ability from low intermediate upwards are catered for. After the two hour lesson on people are welcome to continue the social side of things for drinks, nibbles and lots of laughter. Tickets can be purchased at the Snowsports office at the Cloud 9 complex (top of Falls Express Chairlift). Meeting area is just outside the office and classes start at 1.30pm.

• June - 11th Second hand equipment sale  registration of goods to be sold 9.00am to 12.00am, Sale of goods from 12.00am to 3.00pm
• June - 12th Second hand Sale 12.00am to 3.00pm
• June - 13th Second hand Sale 9.00am to 12.00am

• July - 2nd First day of program / parents information meeting at 9.00am
• July - 3rd Meet the coaches dinner parents only / venue TBA.
• July - 15th BBQ at Club on completion of presentation for Rossignol Cup.
• July - 16th The biggest event of the season Auction night fundraiser all welcome family and friends, door charge for finger foods and drinks at bar prices.
• July - 23rd Social drink, meet the parents from Mt Buller and Hotham race club from 3.00pm to 6.00pm at QuayWest.

• August - 6th Social drink from 4.00pm to 6.00pm venue TBC.
• August - 20th Social drinks from 4.00pm to 6.00pm venue TBC

• September - 9th Open day  for interschool groups, free drinks and a chat from 3.00pm to 5.00pm
• September - 17th End of season BBQ and family day hosted by Falls Creek Ski Lift Co. on mountain from 10.am to 2.00pm.
• End of season dinner and award night, 60s them night at Gate Way from 7.00pm.
• September - 18th Race around the mountain
