Peter Dolman – Program Director
On behalf of the FCRC committee and Falls Creek Ski Lifts we would like to extend a warm welcome Peter Dolman as our new FCRC Program Director for the 2012 season and beyond.
Peter comes to us with over 30 years of full time experience coaching and managing ski racing programs across 4 continents to young aspiring athletes from grass roots to Nor-AM/Europa Cup level.
Peter's formative years involved playing junior soccer to a national level, alpine ski racing and being a member of the Vancouver Junior Symphony Orchestra as a lead solo artist. With a base education in business administration and music theory combined Peter worked his way up through the ranks of the Canadian coaching system to become a top level trainer/course conductor/facilitator/mentor
Peter's founding philosophies for skiing and ski racing include; Team is number 1, within the coaching group, within the age level, within the entire club, athletes and coaches combined, "working together we are unstoppable".
If asked about his key coaching principals for athletic development Peter would say "Regardless of a skier's age, skill level and experience, the basic fundamentals of all skiing and ski racing components need to be practiced and refined repeatedly/continuously throughout a skier's ski racing career. No secrets, hard work, tenacity, continuity and focus. And above all, the belief and understanding that success is pathway, not a destination".
